Wednesday, April 24, 2013 0742 Units made a respond to a report of smoke in a dwelling, Rescue/ Engine 7 arrived to find an occupied single wide trailer with heave smoke and fire showing from the rear. Crews from RE-7 deployed 2 hand lines and after gaining access to the home they made an aggressive interior attack while preforming a search for the occupants. Firefighter K. Rhodes, and C. Denner were 1st into the home clearing the way for the search crew. Firefighter M. Skinner, and B. Papilon preformed a search while also knocking the fire in the second half of the home, firefighter J. Nagel took over ventilation. Officer 705 B. Knott assumed Incident Command, search crews relayed an all clear, and fire attack crews had brought the blaze under control before the arrival of the next due companies. Other companies on scene were QA 5, 6, PM-600, and Kent Co. stations 3, 2 which assisted in overhaul operations. The situation was placed under control in under an hour, and Red Cross was alerted for the family which consisted of 2 adults and 3 small children.
